Theta Chi at FIU
Welcome to the Iota Omicron chapter of Theta Chi at Florida International University. When Theta Chi was installed at FIU on April 14, 2012 it took the campus, community, and Greek life by storm.
Theta Chi men pride themselves on being the best: in the classroom, around campus, and in the Greek community. The Iota Omicron chapter is passionate about effecting our community in positive manners by partaking in community events and breaking stereotypes. We are making a difference in Florida International University, the Miami community, and the state of Florida.
We have a vibrant brotherhood with members from very diverse backgrounds. Choices of undergraduate major range from hospitality and business to biology and biomedical engineering. Our alumni have gone onto graduate programs, medical school, and even straight into their field of work.
Our members enjoy a wide range of activities that enhance their university experience, like mixers with sororities, brotherhood events, philanthropy events, and community service initiatives.
Brothers also benefit from chapter assistance in many other ways. Our scholarship program encourages and rewards hard-work and realistic improvement instead of focusing on punishments. With help from our fraternity’s headquarters, we also give our brothers valuable life skills, such as how to dress for different occasions, interview/resume prep, financial planning, and forming professional connections.
The skills learned and bonds made by our brothers will follow them for the rest of their lives, and we are proud that it’s our main mission.
